7’4” MH Urchin Rod (Custom Series)
Built specifically for the Urchin technique, the 7'4" Medium Heavy Urchin Rod delivers the sensitivity, control, and backbone needed to fish the technique with precision.
Built around a premium Rainshadow high-modulus blank, this rod provides exceptional sensitivity while maintaining the power needed to drive hooks home and control fish around cover. ALPS stainless steel guides offer durability and smooth line management, while the ALPS TX16 reel seat provides a secure, comfortable connection between angler and rod. A double-locking aluminum locking nut keeps the reel firmly secured for a solid, confidence-inspiring feel throughout the cast and retrieve.
The rod features contoured EVA grips for a comfortable, confident feel throughout the day, paired with a shorter-than-traditional handle specifically designed for the Urchin technique. The shortened handle allows for quick, controlled pop-pop movements without the handle getting in the way, giving you the precise bait control the technique demands.
